The opening of the AAHM display on the Henry Rio Bridge, Write in America, will feature the Los Angeles Sentinel celebrating 80 years of publishing news and events of concern to Southern California. Also featured will be the National Association of Black Journalists, Los Angeles (NABJ-LA) to include past and present serving presidents of the Los Angeles Chapter.

The 2018 AAHM exhibit, In collaboration with the Los Angeles Public Library, will present a historical perspective of the Liberator, and founder Jefferson Lewis Edmond’s influence in shaping the population and politics of early Los Angeles.
