Niesha C. Louis

Niesha Louis currently serves as the Treasurer of the Los Angeles Association of Black Personnel. 

She has also served as a Corresponding Secretary, Director at Large, Second Vice President, and has served on the Membership, Special Events, Training and Development, and Scholarship Committees.

Niesha is a Senior Management Analyst I for the Department of Public Works: LA Sanitation and Environment. She currently is the Director of the Los Angeles Environmental Learning Center at Hyperion. During her 15 years with the City, she has worked in various departments including, Community Development, Office of the City Clerk – Elections, and LADWP. 

She volunteers with LAABP to actively be involved in the Black employee career experience within the City of LA, and to do her small part for our community. It is not enough for you to solely succeed, when you have the knowledge and the tools you should share them to help and encourage others. I have a duty to reach back and help others.

“Together we can accomplish what none of us can do alone” means “Each one teach one; she believes we are more effective as a unit.

Niesha has a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Sociology from the University of California at Santa Barbara and a Master’s in Urban Planning and Development from the University of Southern California. She is passionate about Black economic growth and policies that are focused on the development of underserved communities. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family, all outdoors, and various philanthropic efforts.
