Jené D. Brown

Jené D. Brown is a newly appointed Director at Large.  She has been a LAABP Member since 2015. Jené served as a Member of the Scholarship Committee in 2015 and again in 2017. Jené works for the Library Department as a Principal Librarian I and has worked for the City of Los Angeles for 19 years. She’s involved with LAABP because she is passionate about informing, enriching and empowering others. To Jené, our motto “Together we can accomplish what none of us can do alone”, recognizes that everyone has special skills and talents to advance a mission or achieve a goal. And, it will take the collective brilliance and energy to successfully attain greatness.  Her personal interests include listening to live jazz music, relaxing on the beach, reading a good book, enjoying meals with family and friends, and knitting gifts for babies.
