Antrecia Sims

ANTRECIA A. SIMS is the 2nd Vice President and has been a board member since July 2014. She is a Utility Administrator for the Department of Water and Power and has been a City of Los Angeles employee for 21 years. 

In her role as LAABP’s 2nd Vice President, she is the Chair of the Special Events Committee including LAABP’s annual Scholarship and Career Development Programs, and currently serves on the Finance, Fundraising and Executive Committees. 

She is involved in LAABP to help serve the needs of black employees and to foster their achievement and success during all stages of their city careers and to maximize black employee contributions within the City of Los Angeles workforce. 

Antrecia earned both her Bachelor of Science Degree in Organizational Management and a Master of Science in Leadership and Management with a concentration in Human Resource Management from the University of LaVerne. She holds national and state certifications in public employee and labor relations organizations. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, watching forensic and science documentaries, volunteering at church, and playing volleyball.
